Although the two main characters aren't canonically gay, because of their pretending they do run into a cast of gay characters including neighbors, party goers, and gay bar patrons. And in a surprise twist, the army officer they're avoiding is revealed to be gay as well with his actual intention being to keep straight people out of the army.
